Jonah Lavin is an Associate Attorney at Abramson Labor Group, where he represents employees in workplace disputes and workers’ compensation claims.
Jonah started out in entertainment. As an associate in the business affairs department, he drafted and negotiated the contracts behind entertainment industry projects. He then moved to a civil litigation firm, where he worked the defense side for corporate and institutional clients.
Defending companies teaches you how they think about a claim, what they are willing to spend, and when they would rather settle than explain themselves. Jonah puts that to work now for the people on the other side of it.
He earned his J.D. at Southwestern Law School, where he received the Best Brief award in his legal writing course, and he has been licensed in California since 2021.
Jonah was born and raised in Los Angeles. Outside the office he is usually with his wife, their baby daughter, and their beagle Milo, or getting in a round of golf or a ski trip when he can.
