Mariama Myers is an Associate Attorney at Abramson Labor Group.
Before joining the firm, Mariama spent her career at the Social Security Administration, where she processed disability, retirement, and survivors claims and handled Congressional inquiries on behalf of the agency. She has read thousands of benefits claims from the government’s side of the desk and knows how the people deciding them actually think.
That is directly useful here. Disability and workers’ compensation claims turn on medical documentation and on filing things correctly the first time, and Mariama has spent years watching which claims succeed and which ones fall apart.
She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, and the California Lawyers Association.
Mariama holds an undergraduate degree in film, which comes in handy for her side project. She and her partner have five Rottweilers with a substantial social media following across four platforms, where she shoots and edits the videos.
