Robert Costic is an Associate Attorney at Abramson Labor Group.
Robert spent nearly six years with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., working as a police officer and investigator and affiliated with the Special Liaisons Branch.
He then moved into legal work supporting a major technology company. He reviewed domestic and international law enforcement requests for customer information, weighing privacy, freedom of expression, and data disclosure questions, and he trained other attorneys on search warrant review. He went on to lead a team of twelve attorneys handling those requests.
He has seen that work from both directions, first carrying out law enforcement requests and later deciding which ones a company should refuse.
Robert is a member of Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the California Lawyers Association.
In his words: “I approach their case with a strong sense of fairness and a determination to advocate for people who may otherwise feel outmatched.”
